Why do you wish to become a Vortigaunt?:
I'd like to have a vortigaunt character in order to add more diversity among characters and, most of all, create more roleplay opportunities(I even have a small event idea for the arrival of the vortigaunt I'd like to play as). Vortigaunts are a big part of the Half-Life universe and I think it would be a relief for most people to see something fresh. Additionally, the time I have spent playing vortigaunts was being a slave to the Combine so it would be a fresh start for me with being in the outlands.

Give a detailed roleplaying example with how you would type it out in the chat with /mes etc as a Vortigaunt:
**'Ulysses'(//the vortigaunt) gently wraps his fingers around the door handle before pushing it forward and stepping inside the decorated, monitored-filled room. A sigh of sweet relief meant the horrors lurking in the oudoors was a breath of fresh air for the lonely and war-torn creature. The vortigaunt made its way towards the middle of the room and brought its attention up to the map plastered up on the wall, just to mutter the words faintly under his breath, "Our cause is hopeless.." it paused to mark in another red 'X' on a specific point of the map, ".. Yet we will endure these harsh consequences until freedom ignites over this battlefield."

**A knock is heard on the door, followed by a deep, masculine voice in a pained tone, "We got more wounded-- get out of there and come help the survivors before we lose anymore fucking doctors!"

**'Ulysses' turns his head over his shoulder at the sound of the voice from outside. The vortigaunt shook his head after the voice finished, as though it were silently swearing, before turning itself around fully and marching back out the way it came. "We grow tired of these.. Persistant interruptions!" He'd swing open the door and step outside again, "If it is absolutely necessary to our cause, we will require an escort back to the medical tent. Make haste."

Explain why it is important that you behave correctly as a Vortigaunt:
It is important to behave correctly as a vortigaunt because they're one of the most difficult, if not the most difficult type of Half-Life 2 character to seriously roleplay as and players should expect some sense of professionalism from people playing as them. If I were to go around shouting random voice commands at everyone and roleplaying my vortigaunt in a non-serious and stupid manner, it would surely effect the server's reputation.

What are your past experiences with Vortigaunt characters, give a detailed summary:
I haven't had a lot of experience roleplaying as vortigaunts, although I have played as them before on maybe two servers for a hefty amount of time combined. The time I have spent with them have all been within an occupied city under Combine control so they were both restricted by chains and collars and servants to the Combine. They were never freed. I am able to properly roleplay the way they speak, how they generally behave, and use their vortessence abilties appropriately.

What does a Vortigaunt do; and what is their purpose? What is a Vortigaunt?:
Vortigaunts are formally known as Alien Slaves or Xen Slaves and are a sapient species found throughout the Half-Life universe. Long before the Black Mesa Incident, the Vortigaunts' homeworld was invaded by the Combine, forcing the survivors of the invasion to flee to Xen. When the Black Mesa Incident occurred, their master, a being known as the Nihilanth, viewed the rift that opened as a chance to escape, and directed the Vortigaunts to invade Earth.Following the death of the Nihilanth, the Vortigaunts have chosen to ally themselves with the human-led Resistance in its bid to overthrow the Combine rule of Earth(according to the wikia). They are generally found to be a support role within the resistance and focus on healing the wounded and using the rest of their vortessence-linked abilities and intelligence to further aid the resistance's role in the fight against the Combine. They should be seen as passive-oriented characters on a serious roleplay server and I plan on playing mine as such.
